Situated in Cork Harbour, Great Island offers the pefect venue for what has now become an annual event in the Irish Sea kayaking calendar.   'This years race is back to a circumnavigation of the Great Island. (approx 25.5km) The fifth year running the GIKR we hope to have our biggest entry yet. The main aim is to get people out on the water for a post xmas paddle, so if your don't want to be racing the likes of Jim Morrissey and Ciaran Cooke your welcome to come along, paddle at your own pace and enjoy the BBQ after.'
